I’m not a mental health professional; I have no qualifications in this arena. I cannot give you medical or psychiatric advice. Everyday, I’m still learning. Before building this site I spoke with two qualified mental health professionals about whether this was a good idea or not. I wanted to make sure that this website and my contribution would be useful. They believe it is and that's good enough for me. You can study a library full of books on the subject, but until you know that icy cold feeling of depression or blind panic for no reason, you never really, really know.

I’ve felt both and I’ve survived both.

Get to know me and I’m a whirlwind of joy and melancholy all wrapped up in one girl package. I part own a business here in New Zealand and I love it. I love to work, I love people and I love connection. I also love being alone.

I like to sing, either on stage or in my kitchen with spoon as a microphone.

I love to exercise; I love nothing more than to be almost brought to tears with a hard work out. Exercise is important; I will talk about it a LOT.

I love food, music, yoga, films, documentaries, fresh air, writing, dogs, clothes, make up, drag queens, Netflix and the Internet (oh, the connection).

And, I’d like to think I have a good heart.
